What is eduroam?
Eduroam (educational roaming) is an international service that allows students, researchers, and academic staff to securely connect to the internet at participating institutions worldwide.
General Principles
The common mobility service will be provided only to users who belong to organizations affiliated with research networks that are part of the international mobility space project.
All mobile users must authenticate with their home organization to obtain access services at the visited organization.
All mobile users are responsible for their credentials and must adhere to the usage policy accepted by their home organization.
Visited organizations must offer access services that users can recognize for their benefit.
The visited organization must ensure the secure transmission of mobile users' credentials.
The visited organization has the authority to block access for any mobile user, institution, or European research network that does not comply with the visited organization's usage policy.
Visited organizations will establish authorization for access to services provided to mobile users.
The home organization will be responsible for providing support to its users, including training in access technologies and acceptance of usage policies.
